Upgrade of the existing jet-fuel system supporting Los Angeles County fire-helicopter and support-fleet operations.
EFS West was contracted to upgrade the existing jet-fueling system supporting Los Angeles County fire-helicopter and support-fleet operations.
The project included supplementing the existing 20,000-gallon underground storage tank with an additional 10,000-gallon aboveground tank for reserve fueling capacity. Fueling hydrants and fuel-filtering skids were replaced, and a new electrical service with a diesel backup generator was installed to support 24/7 operations.
Temporary jet-fuel systems were maintained so air operations could remain functional during construction.
